High Prairie School Division has a comprehensive support system set up for teachers. As new teachers join our division, they begin to access a variety of supports to ease their transition to a new community, the school, and their assignment.

Professional development tailored to teachers needs and growth, three times over the year, face to face and through video conferencing.

Networking and Resources

The Coach Mentor, school administration and peers work with new teachers to introduce them to teachers with similar assignments within and out of HPSD. Lessons, success stories, concerns and advice are shared! Resources from the HPSD AISI-FNMI library are offered as conversations and questions take place.
