Welcome to the Kinuso Outreach School

The Outreach Program has been created to offer a more flexible learning environment.  This allows students to work on individualized courses, using independent timetables, based on their own personal schedules.

All courses offered at Kinuso Outreach School follow the curriculum set out by Alberta Learning and are supervised by certified teachers.  Courses may be started at any time.

Courses consist of a series of modules, and it is expected that at least one module be completed and handed in each week.  It is the responsibility of the student to summit modules when due, in order to remain enrolled at the school.

There are no attendance requirements for senior high students, although quizzes, mid-terms and final examinations must be written on-site.

Who May Attend?

Young adults, up to 20 years of age, who may consider studying at Kinuso Outreach School may include those who:

  • wish to complete an extra course to speed up their graduation
  • wish to take a blended program - courses at both the Outreach and the main Kinuso School
  • require a more flexible time schedule due to personal, employment or parenting commitments
  • are pregnant or new moms that still wish to continue with their education
  • require to work ahead in order to participate in exchange programs or high level sports, requiring a lot of time away
  • have withdrawn from classes and wish to return and prefer a more independent, smaller learning environment

Where is the Outreach?

The Kinuso Outreach School is located at 211 Second Street, Kinuso, Alberta.
